Who am I?

Hey! My name is Alice, and I am a 29 year old trans woman living in Houston, Texas. I am interested in and will talk about a wide variety of topics, from Linux to LISP to cross-stitching. I of course love playing video games and I love talking about them, especially Sims 4 and various roguelikes such as Caves of Qud, ToME, and UnReal World.

What do I do?

I am a Linux Systems Engineer at a small-ish MSP in a division developing and managing a video streaming platform for government agencies. I help to manage a fleet of hundreds of servers, handling tens of thousands of streams every day using Ansible, and good old elbow grease. I currently work primarily with Ansible, Docker, Python 3, and Bash to integrate with our applications and manage our servers. Before that, I was a Linux Systems Administrator at Rackspace, a very large web hosting and cloud services provider.
